CenDel Has Distributed $3,500,000 Million in Funding and Grants to Central Delaware Since its Founding in 2008!
Reflecting on 2025, the CenDel Foundation proudly advanced our mission, creating meaningful and lasting impact across the community. Let’s look at the year’s achievements!
Education and Workforce Development
The Foundation distributed $103,295 in grants to support education and workforce development initiatives. These investments helped make higher education attainable, strengthened pathways to employment through skills training, and contributed to economic development by supporting service-sector industries facing the greatest workforce needs.
Human Services
The Foundation distributed $53,140 in human services grants to support programs addressing urgent community needs. Funding focused on food security, housing stability, emergency assistance, basic necessities, and seasonal support initiatives, helping individuals and families achieve greater stability and resilience.
Community Development & Environment
The Foundation distributed $56,906 in grants to support community development and environmental initiatives. These investments strengthened local infrastructure, advanced environmental conservation efforts, and enriched the cultural and civic life of the community. Funding supported housing and neighborhood development, preservation of natural resources, public media, and the arts—helping build vibrant, sustainable communities for current and future generations.
2025 Foundation Support Overview:
• In 2025, the Foundation received $54k in operational support through March to 100 Pledges, Annual Fund Campaign, and Gourmet Dinner Fundraiser. We are deeply grateful to the many individuals who made this support possible.
• The Foundation also received $72k in capital support from generous funders, including the Welfare Foundation, Delaware Community Foundation, and CenDel Fundholders, to invest in the CenDel Community Building. These investments ensure the building remains a vibrant hub for community programs, nonprofit services, and collaborative initiatives for years to come.
• Additionally, we extend our sincere thanks to Kent Sussex Leadership Alliance for their generous $50k in unrestricted support, strengthening our ability to advance our mission throughout Central Delaware.
• In 2025, the Foundation launched two new funds totaling $71k expanding opportunities to support impactful community initiatives.
