Providing a lasting source of charitable funding to benefit Central Delaware

The CenDel Foundation has been established for two main reasons:

To provide a vehicle for charitable giving to the community: Anyone can be a philanthropist through a gift, large or small, to the CenDel Foundation. To work for the betterment of Central Delaware and its residents: Funds from the CenDel Foundation will be directed to meet critical needs of the area and its residents. The funds are flexible, able to direct grant making to new issues or opportunities as they arise. The one constant is that the funds generated by the CenDel Foundation will stay in Central

Delaware. The CenDel Foundation also helps establish charitable funds for individuals, families, businesses and organizations, and distributes income from the funds as grants to nonprofit entities throughout Central Delaware.

Central Delaware…Proud Heritage, Powerful Future! 

Central Delaware retains the ambiance of a charming, revolutionary-era community.  Kent County is unique in Delaware, and proud of its heritage.  The community leaders in Central Delaware know they must preserve and protect Kent today for it to be strong and proud tomorrow.  As a result, they have created a vehicle that will encourage investments today to meet tomorrow’s charitable needs.

That vehicle…a philanthropic endeavor created solely by and for Central Delaware area residents is the CenDel Foundation.

Community Response to Community Needs

The CenDel Foundation offers a variety of fund types and philanthropic services to help you achieve your charitable goals.  You can use several kinds of assets – cash, securities, real estate, life insurance, bequest – as tax-deductible gifts to create your fund.  You select a name that honors an individual or family.  Most funds can be established with a gift minimum of $2,000.
