CenDel Foundation Announces New Scholarship Fund!
The CenDel Foundation is proud to announce the opening of a new fund to benefit outstanding high school students from Central Delaware. The Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship Fund, with an initial donation of $100,000, will fund scholarships to exceptional students at Milford High School. Read Across America!
On Thursday, March 2, the CenDel Foundation partnered with United Way of Delaware to sponsor books for the National Read Across America Day in Kent County.  The annual event is held in March in honor of children's book author Dr. Seuss, whose birthdate is March 2, 1904. Potter Trust Forum hosted a Plan4Health!

Kent County Fund for the Arts Grants Available for Nonprofits !
  Nonprofit organizations throughout Delaware are invited to apply for grants from the Kent County Fund for the Arts (KCFA), a fund administered by the CenDel Foundation based in Downtown Dover.  $20,000 in grants will be awarded to qualified 501 (c)(3) programs and organizations that create art and produce artistic events in Kent County.   Grant requests must be submitted on a 2017 Kent County Fund for the Arts application form. CenDel Promotes Reading Literacy in Central Delaware
CenDel partnered with Read Aloud Delaware to promote literacy in Central Delaware.  In effort to encourage reading by children in the community, 500 books were distributed to children attending the Restoring Central Dover Community Fair on June 11, 2016,  "Many children have never owned a book" said Mary Randall of Read Aloud Delaware.  Giving a child a book opens up reading to them and reading for themselves, children are exposed to new idea and possibilities they may never have considered.   ... READ MORE

Restoring Central Dover Kicks off Back to School Event
The Restoring Central Dover Resident Engagement Committee is teaming up with local salons, barbers and other nonprofit organizations for a back to school event on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 11am-4pm on Loockerman Way Plaza. Restoring Central Dover awarded $750,000 for restoration plan.
DOVER, Del.- The National Council on Agricultural Life and Labor Research Fund, Inc. (NCALL) has been granted a $750,000 community development grant from Wells Fargo, funding that will help to revitalize central Dover. The Board of Directors of the CenDel Foundation, in conjunction with the Delaware Community Foundation, is pleased to announce the grant recipients for awards from the Potter Trust for the 2014 grant cycle. CenDel Board Member dances with the stars to raise money for Mom's House.
Not only did Board Member, Tonda Parks, dance with the stars, but she and her dance partner won the event and raised thousands of dollars for local non-profit, Mom's House of Dover.
Governor and first lady perform at the Schwartz Center to benefit Kent County Fund for the Arts.
Governor Jack Markell and first lady Carla Markell performed the Pulitzer-nominated play, "Love Letters" by A.R. Gurney at the Schwartz Center in Dover on September 27, 2014. Proceeds from the event were donated to the Kent County Fund for the Arts.
