Supporting the Arts in Kent County!

The CenDel Foundation has distributed $26,558 in grants to organizations fostering the arts in central Delaware. The Kent County Fund for the Arts, a fund of the CenDel Foundation, awarded grants to 13 organizations in June 2022. The grant amounts ranged from $1,000 to $4,500.

The 2022 recipients included Art Works for All, the Biggs Museum of American Art, Cancer Support Community, CERTS, Inc., Choir School of Delaware, Delaware Choral Society, Delaware Friends of Folk, Dover Art League, Easterseals Delaware, Inner City Cultural League, Mispillion Art League, Mispillion Performance Series, and the Children’s Theatre.

The funding will allow recipients to offer diverse performances in music, education, art therapy, and shows to the community. An awards luncheon was held on June 29 to congratulate the grant recipients and thank them for their contributions to arts-related programs that enhance, educate and increase awareness in Kent County.

The Kent County Fund for the Arts was established in 2008 through a generous contribution by the late Rosemary Twilley in memory of her husband, Joshua Twilley, Esq. Joshua Twilley serves as the Fund’s advisor.

According to Josh Twilley, KCFA advisor, "We are excited to see the growth and vibrancy of the arts in Kent County and are thrilled to support it."

The funding helps bring awareness to art programs and allows the people living in central Delaware to enjoy its vibrant arts scene. "We are grateful for the support of the Kent County Fund for the Arts, so we can keep our Art Therapy Program growing Strong," said Terry Cipolla of CERTS, Inc.

The CenDel Foundation is committed to helping generous people transform the community through charitable giving. Since 2008, the Foundation has distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants and funding to organizations in Central Delaware, improving the lives of those living in Kent County.
