The CenDel Foundation has distributed $21,000, in grants to organizations fostering the arts in Central Delaware. The Kent County Fund for the Arts (KCFA), a fund administered by CenDel, awarded grants to 13 organizations in June. The grant amounts ranged from $500 to $2,500.

The 2023 recipients included Art Works, the Biggs Museum of American Art, Cancer Support Community, Delaware Choral Society, Delaware Friends of Folk, Delaware Institute of Arts in Education, Delaware Shakespeare, First State Ballet Theater, Forward Journey, Inner City Cultural League, Mispillion Art League, The Children's Theatre and The Dover Art League.

The funding will be used by the recipients to offer diverse performances, provide art therapy, and enrich arts education in the Central Delaware community. Recipients attended the awards luncheon on June 28th at the CenDel Foundation to discuss their programs and upcoming projects in Kent County. "I'm so excited about the projects we are supporting this year," said Joshua Twilley, one of the founders of the KCFA. "The arts can be fun, but they are also an important education tool that revitalizes communities. “These are the goals of the Fund, and each of these projects touch on all aspects of the goals,” -Josh Twilley.

CenDel would like to congratulate the grant recipients and thank them for their commitment to the arts in Kent County!
